Buyer beware - don't be fooled by quote headlines - 27/03/2009

At Supermove, we have alwaysbelieved in the principle of offering a transparent pricing structure to our clients. Unfortunately, we are competing with firms who offer headline quotes where we would find it tough to bea,t but we strongly recommend that you don't take these quotes at face value. We are aware of firms who offer prices that appear to be 'unbeatable' and sometimes 50% less than our own. But then you look at the finer detail and additional charges aren't quoted including fees to act for your lender, Telegraphic Transfer fees, Leasehold fees and all disbursements. We'd rather give you a full picture of all likely disbursements and then be able to bring our quote down if we find they aren't needed but would you want to deal with another firm who has all these 'hidden extras' that you only find out about at completion? We would always recommend that you compare quotes on a like-like basis for your own 'peace of mind' and don't forget, with 1/3 off our fees for Conveyancing (see article below) we could well be able to beat your current quote when you factor all of these 'extras' in.
