Home Information Packs launch delayed - 23/05/2007

On 22nd May 2007, Ruth Kelly, Communities & Local Government secretary advised that the introduction of Home Information Packs would be delayed from 1st June 2007 to 1st August 2007. In addition, the introduction will be on a phased basis, meaning that to begin with, only properties with 4 bedrooms and above will need a Home Information Pack when marketing their property after 1st August 2007. Properties will also now be able to be marketed as soon as the Home Information Pack has been commissioned, meaning that there should be no noticeable delay in placing properties up for sale.
