Home Information Packs - latest news - 16/04/2007

With less than 2 months before the introduction of Home Information Packs we thought it worthwhile to update you on the current situation. The act containing Home Information Packs was laid before parliament at the end of March and is definitely due to come into force on 1st June 2007. With effect from this date, all new houses being marketed for sale must have a Home Information Pack which will contain items such as an Energy Performance Certificate, Local searches and information from the Land Registry. If your property is already listed for sale before the 1st June deadline, you will then have until 31st December 2007 to sell your property, otherwise a Home Information Pack will be required.
