HIP's - latest update - 19/12/2006

It's been a little while since we updated you on news relating to Home Information Packs so we thought it useful to give you a quick roundup. HIP's trials have gone live in 6 regions across the country in November, including Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. The government have pledged £4 million in funding for the trials but initial take-up of the 'free HIP's' stage of the trial seems to have received mixed reaction amongst agents and sellers. It is still anticipated that HIP's will go live on 1st June 2007 and Supermove plan to be 'ahead of the game' by arming agents with our HIPStart product from the new year. HIPStart, produced in association with MoveMachine will include details of the official copy of entries relating to the property held at the Land Registry and a plan will also be provided outlining the boundaries to properties. In addition, the initial enquiries that most buyers solicitors ask will be available upfront for prospective buyers to view.
